14,500 m² of Ege Beyazı floors and walls; a book-matched lobby wall and honed spa surfaces.
The lobby, restaurants and spa of a 312-room five-star hotel in Doha, Qatar, were clad in Ege Beyazı marble. The architect wanted a nine-metre-high book-matched wall in the lobby; for it four specially selected blocks from our Muğla quarry were set aside and 62 slabs were cut in mirrored sequence.
Project summary
- Lobby floor: 2 cm polished, 120x120 cm, cross-joint pattern
- Book-matched wall: 62 slabs, 9 m high, numbered installation plan
- Spa: honed finish (PTV 40+), steam room and pool surround
- 14,500 m² in total, 28 containers, five separate shipments
- Shop drawings, quantity take-off and numbered packing by Petrova's technical office
Quality-control photos were shared weekly throughout the project. Block-to-block tone difference was kept below ΔE 1.5. Shipments went from İzmir port via Jebel Ali to Hamad port and were delivered in 17 days on average.
