At Petrova we manage the export process end to end: proforma, production, packing, loading, customs and documents. This page summarises the topics customers ask about most.
Packing
- Slabs ship on steel-footed wooden bundles and ISPM-15 marked crates
- Tiles and cut-to-size products are packed with stretch film, corner protection and wooden pallets
- Fragile-edge products use extra foam and plywood-protected crates
Containers and loading
A 20 ft container carries an average of 24–26 tonnes and, because of weight limits, a 40 ft container also takes at most 26–27 tonnes of stone. Loading is done under camera recording; sealing and departure photos are sent to the buyer. Our calculator gives the container count from slab size.
Incoterms and payment
We quote on EXW, FCA, FOB (İzmir, Mersin, Mudanya), CIF/CFR and DAP terms. Payment is typically 30% in advance with the balance against shipping documents (T/T) or by letter of credit (L/C). For new customers insurance and a letter of credit are preferred. This information is a general framework; the contract governs each order.
Contact and tracking
Throughout the shipment the buyer receives a tracking number and line details. Automatic notifications are sent when the container departs and five days before it reaches the port of arrival. For questions you can reach our export team at export@petrovatas.com.tr.
